The Southern Prairie YMCA offers classes for all ages, all levels and all interests. From low-impact exercise and chair classes, stretching and strength training to pilates, water exercise, and yoga, you’ll find a group class that’s fun, supportive and keeps you moving. Most group fitness classes are free with your Southern Prairie YMCA membership.

We all have different goals and needs. Sometimes the expertise of a fitness professional is needed to help with program plan development, motivation, or accountability. Our Y Personal Trainer is trained to help you meet your fitness goals with an individualized exercise prescription and coaching. Your first session will involve a fitness assessment, consultation, and program design to make sure that you are getting what you want and need from your trainer. Personal Training Sessions are $20 each for members or $40 for non-members. You may also purchase a Personal Training Punch card with six sessions for $100 for members or $200 for non-members. 30 minute consultation: FREE for Y members
Lauren Spranger is an NSCA certified personal trainer with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science ready to help you navigate the weight room or other personal fitness goals.
For Members 13 years and older. Learn the proper use of our fitness and cardio equipment after attending an orientation session (approximately 30 min). Call 782-9622 for an appointment.
Weight room orientations are required for 13-15 year olds to use the weight room and cardio room.
Join the Southern Prairie YMCA in our 5K run on the Saturday morning of Balloon Days, the third week of September every year. The race course can be found here.
